As we enter the top five grossing auctions from this past weekend, it’s little surprise that it’s dominated by classic Ferraris. This 1962 Ferrari 400 Superamerica Series I Aerodinamico Coupe sold for $4,070,000 and was offered by Gooding & Company.
Changing things up a bit, this beautiful 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 “Super Snake” was sold by Barrett-Jackson for $5,155,000.
Now this is when things get interesting, with a 1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spyder netting $7,700,000 for Gooding & Company.
Coming in second place was a 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB Competizione Coupe that was raced by Scuderia Filipinetti, earning $9,405,000 for Bonhams.
Last, but not least, is the highest-value lot from any year prior in Scottsdale, with a 1964 Ferrari 250 LM Coupe going for $9,625,000 from RM Auctions. Like the 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB Competizione Coupe, this 250 LM was also raced by Scuderia Filipinetti.
