Nissan 370Z NISMO Z-Challenge Spec Series Racer Revealed: 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon
With the growing popularity of the Scion FR-S and the Subaru BRZ, it’s easy to forget that Nissan has its own rear-wheel drive sports car that also handles beautifully when pushed to the limits.
Packing 350 hp and 276 lb-ft of torque, the Z-Challenge Spec 370Z boasts a whole lot of modifications to make it the ultimate track-spec Z from the factory. The NISMO Z-Challenge Spec racer is designed to compete in a spec series out in Japan.

Other modifications making it track ready include 19-inch NISMO VR G2 wheels wrapped with Advan Neova AD08 rubber. Brakes are borrowed from the Z’s bigger brother, the GT-R and come in a Brembo variety. A Nardi Classic 360 steering wheel makes controlling the vehicle comfortable, while driver sits comfortably in a Recaro race seat. Transmission upgrades include a NISMO Super Coppermix Twin clutch along with the Japanese automaker’s GT Pro Carbon limited slip differential. And of course, all fluids have been swapped out with high-performance oils from NISMO and Motul.
