Paul Rudd Debuts as New Voice of Hyundai

Actor Paul Rudd is the new voice of Hyundai.

The Korean automaker has announced that Rudd will serve as the new voice for its national advertising and will kick off the new campaign with a commercial for the 2015 Hyundai Sonata. The first ad, titled “Co-Pilot,” pokes fun at backseat drivers and stars Rudd’s first voice-over in the spot as Hyundai shows off the new advanced technologies in its sedan.

For the last seven years, actor Jeff Bridges has served as the voice of Hyundai and as the automaker bids farewell to the Bridges era, it welcomes Rudd with open arms.

“We were looking for a voice that could be recognizable and relatable to a new generation of car buyers,” said Steve Shannon, vice president of Marketing, Hyundai Motor America. “Rudd can be serious, humorous, informative and entertaining all at the same time. It’s his modern sensibility that we knew would be a perfect match for today’s customers.”
