2015 Mercedes C-Class Recalled for Steering Issue

The new 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is off to a rough start.

The German automaker has announced a recall for the brand new sedan because of a steering issue that affects about 10,000 units in the U.S. According to a report from The New York Times, the steering coupling interlock may not have been put in the locked position at an assembly plant. The news comes from Donna Boland, a Mercedes spokeswoman, who said the problem was first noticed on models sold in Europe, which are assembled at a different plant than the vehicles sold in the U.S.

So far no reports of the issue have been filed in the U.S. but the German automaker is opting to do a worldwide recall. No injuries related to the problem have been reported and owners of the 2015 Mercedes C-Class should look out for a recall notice.
