Volkswagen Passat Gets Alltrack Variant

1

Volkswagen has revealed the new Passat Alltrack ahead of its official debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.

Ride height is jacked up by 1.08-inches on this Alltrack model, which also comes with added plastic body cladding and redesigned bumpers to increase approach and departure angles. To protect the important bits from being bashed in on the trail, stainless steel underbody plates are installed.

Power comes from the same lineup of engines available with the Passat wagon. These include 150-hp and 220-hp gasoline engines and three diesel powerplants, making 150 hp, 190 hp and 240 hp. Every Passat Alltrack is fitted with standard 4Motion all-wheel drive.

An off-road mode has been added to the Passat Alltrack as well, tailoring the vehicle’s braking and throttle response to off-roading along with activating the hill start & descent systems.

The Passat Alltrack will hit European showrooms in the fall of this year.
