2016 Mercedes-AMG G65 Priced From $218,825

Move over, Rover, and let Daimler take over because there’s a new ultra luxury SUV to claim the “most expensive” title.

Mercedes-AMG said today that the 2016 G65 will carry a $218,825 starting price including delivery. Like other AMG products with the “65” designation, the G65 uses a biturbo V12 that, in this case, makes 621 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque.

Last year Mercedes sold 3,090 G Wagens in the U.S., split with 1,428 G550s and 1662 G63 AMGs and marking the highest volume for the nameplate in the U.S. yet. Equipped with the turbocharged V12, Mercedes says its high-power truck will reach 60 MPH in 5.3 seconds. The V8-powered G63 starts at $138,075.
