Tesla Model X Gets Software Update that Includes Change to Summon Feature
The Tesla Model X has received a new over-the-air update.
Included in the update is a change to the car’s Summon feature, which was updated on the Model S following reports of a recent incident where a Model S owner claims his vehicle drove itself into a trailer. Now, Tesla Model X owners will also have to choose a direction for the vehicle to travel when Summon is activated, an extra step that helps confirm that the vehicle owner actually wants Summon to be used.

The update also adds some features unique to the Model X, like the ability to control all the doors through the key fob. Some owners are saying the most welcomed new feature is being able to adjust all the seats from the center touchscreen.
