Upcoming Lexus LC F Reportedly More Powerful Than LFA Supercar
Sporting 600 horsepower, the Lexus LC F will reportedly debut at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show.
A new report claims the Lexus LC F will be powered by a new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine offering 600 hp and 470 pound-feet of torque, making it more powerful than the Lexus LFA supercar, which had 552 hp. According to a source at Lexus that spoke to Car and Driver, the engine is essentially two 8AR-type 2.0-liter turbo-four engines joined together at 90 degrees. The powerplant will eventually be used in the GS F sedan, where it will be detuned to output 550 hp.
Like the LC500, the LC F will have its engine paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Along with the added performance, the LC F will have a much more aggressive appearance with hood vents, air ducts for brake cooling, a fixed rear wing, front splitter as well as side and rear air vents. It will ride on 20-inch wheels while six-piston brake calipers will ensure it stops on a dime.
Expect more information on the LC F to spill out in the coming months, leading up to its debut in Tokyo this October.
