Mercedes-Benz Adds Even More Luxury to GLS SUV
At the upcoming 2018 Detroit Auto Show, Mercedes-Benz will present the GLS Grand Edition.
The Mercedes-Benz GLS Grand Edition will head to dealerships in the U.S. by mid-2018 and will be available for both the GLS450 4MATIC and GLS550 4MATIC models. The package features exclusive interior and exterior elements, with the cabin getting Porcelain/Espresso Brown and designo Nappa leather seats with exclusive diamond quilting and special Budapest-design piping. In addition, the interior receives open-pore brown ash trim with light stripes, a Nappa leather dashboard, ambient lighting, and Espresso Brown velour floor mats.

On the outside, the German automaker gives the GLS450 4MATIC special edition model 20-inch 10-spoke two-tone wheels and an advanced LED Intelligent Light System. Meanwhile, the GLS550 4MATIC is outfitted with 21-inch wheels and Active LED headlamps as standard. Naturally, both models are finished with “Grand Edition” badging.
The GLS450 is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 engine with 362 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, while the more powerful GLS550 4MATIC features a 4.7-liter V8 with 449 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque.
Pricing for the GLS Grand Edition models was not announced.
