The next-generation 2019 Volkswagen Jetta has finally arrived, boasting a modernized look and new features.
Looking quite different than the current offering, the new Volkswagen Jetta does retain the 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that’s currently used. Providing 147 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, the powerplant is paired to a six-speed manual transmission on the standard base S model, while a new eight-speed automatic is an option on the base S model and standard on other trim levels.
The 2019 Volkswagen Jetta rides on Volkswagen’s popular MQB platform and just like before, it will be available in S, SE, SEL, SEL Premium, and R-Line trims.
