Rimac is Teasing a New Hypercar That Richard Hammond Should Never Drive
Rimac has confirmed its next-generation hypercar will be unveiled at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.
Currently codenamed “Concept Two,” the Concept One’s successor is expected to be more powerful and will see more production units. The Concept One was already an incredible machine, sporting 1,224 horsepower and 1,180 pound-feet of torque thanks to four electric motors – one on each wheel. In our earlier report about the new hypercar, we learned it has been in the pipeline for a few years now and is being developed from the ground-up.

While the original Concept One only saw eight units produced, one of which Richard Hammond from The Grand Tour destroyed in a fiery blaze, Rimac is aiming to produce 100 units of its successor. The Concept One also had two additional, track-only Concept S units produced, and it’s likely that will happen with its successor.
Although we can’t see much in the short teaser video, it does appear the new hypercar will be more aggressive than the Concept One. Look for a focus on aerodynamics when the hypercar debuts in early March in Geneva, where AutoGuide.com will be reporting live.
