Menacing McLaren 600LT MSO Coming to Pebble Beach

The McLaren 600LT has been given an especially unique look by the in-house styling experts at McLaren Special Operations.

The 600LT MSO is set apart from “regular” versions of the recently introduced supercar by its Stealth Grey MSO paint, Matte Black and McLaren Orange accents and exposed carbon fiber bodywork, which includes the roof scoop, front splitter, rear bumper, rear diffuser, rear deck, engine cover, fender louvres and exterior door inserts. The vehicle also comes with a track telemetry system and a camera mounted in the roof scoop, allowing the driver to record his or her driving while out on the track and review it at a later time.

“MSO Bespoke was established to help customers realise their dreams and allows an almost limitless level of customisation where imagination is the only restrictive factor,” said MSO director Ansar Ali. “With MSO Defined we offer a range of personalisation beyond the standard factory options. For this special 600LT we have combined a sprinkling of both to create a car that showcases the lightness and track-focused performance of this latest Longtail variant.”

The interior of this extra special 600LT features the lightweight carbon fiber racing seats from the McLaren Senna, carbon fiber trim, a harness bar with 6-point racing harnesses and a 12-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system. The key fob is also hand painted to match the vehicle’s exterior.

The 600LT is the latest ‘Long Tail’ performance special from McLaren. It’s a more track-focused version of the already quick 570S, featuring a more powerful, 592 hp version of the 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that enables it to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 204 mph. The 600 LT is also 212 lbs lighter than the 570S and produces more downforce thanks to its large front splitter and rear diffuser and subtle wing.

The McLaren 600LT MSO will be on display at the 2018 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in Monterey, California following its debut at the event on Sunday. McLaren doesn’t typically provide pricing details for these limited-run MSO models, so it’s not clear how much the 600LT MSO is worth – but you can bet it won’t come cheap.
