Ford GT-Inspired Guitar, Sailboat Heading to Design Show
The all-new Ford GT has inspired the design of multiple art and furniture pieces that Ford will show off at this year’s Salone del Mobile in Milan, Italy.
Ford is bringing along a guitar, a racing sail boat, a foosball table and more, all of which take their design cues from the new Ford sports car. There will also be a large installation piece called “FAVILLA, Every Light a Voice,” that was made to show how Ford design shapes and functions interior car parts.

Ford cites three guiding principles behind the GT’s design: clarity of intent, innovation and connection. All three are said to play a role in the art pieces.
“We have an incredible amount of talent in our global design studios,” said Moray Callum, Ford Motor Company vice president for design. “Salone del Mobile is the perfect forum to share some of that creativity, while also offering our designers an opportunity to get exposure to new ideas that will inspire future Ford design.”
