Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe To Debut In 2011

Mercedes-Benz is readying a coupe version of their C63 AMG, to compete with the current bevy of super coupes like the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe, BMW M3 and Audi RS5.

The C63 AMG Coupe will use the now-redundant 6.2L V8 along with Mercedes’ new 7-Speed MCT automatic. Power is expected to be 450 horsepower for the base car, with AMG offering a performance package that will bump output to 480 horsepower.

Designed specifically to compete with the German and American offerings, a C63 Coupe Black Series is also rumored to be in the works, and should help take performance to the next level, especially in light of the Europe-only M3 GTS.
