Camaro Z28 Caught Testing at the Nurburgring [Video]
With several spy shots having already hit the interwebs, this is the first video of the new 2012 Chevy Camaro Z28 undergoing testing on the Nürburgring in Germany.
Designed to rival the Ford Shelby GT500, the Camaro Z28 is all but confirmed to get the Cadillac CTS-V’s supercharged 6.2-liter LSA V8 with a solid 550-hp (likely more). Combined with the Camaro’s fully independent suspension, 20-inch wheels and what will no doubt be a high-performance Brembo brake setup, it should make for quite a package – although hopefully GM’s engineers were able to cut some weight from the beast.
Chevy continues to be silent on Camaro Z28 news, but we’d expect such an iconic American car to debut at (where else?) the Detroit Auto Show in January.
