Volkswagen’s Vader Kid Goes in For Open Heart Surgery

Remember the cute little Vader Kid from VW‘s 2011 Superbowl commercials? He underwent open-heart surgery yesterday, and today it is confirmed that it went off without a hitch. 

His name is Max Page, and he is a seven year old child actor who has also appeared on the famous soap opera The Young and the Restless. He was admitted to LA’s children’s hospital to have a pulmonary valve replaced in his heart yesterday, and doctors have confirmed that he is ok and is in recovery.

With bravery equal to the real Darth Vader, Max said “Mom I don’t have a choice. I have to go through it. I don’t like it and it’s still scary—but I have to. So I think I might as well go through it with a good attitude.”

It’s good to hear that everything went ok, and we wish Max a speedy and healthy recovery.
