2014 Mazda6 Wagon Revealed Ahead of Paris Motor Show Debut
The all-new 2014 Mazda6 was unveiled in late July, delivering a sporty sedan design that will undoubtedly be popular once it hits American soil in early 2013.
A model variant we probably won’t see however, given Americans dislike for station wagons, is the Mazda6 Wagon which will be making its first public debut at this year’s Paris Motor Show. Essentially a roomier and more practical model to the sedan, the Mazda6 Wagon sports the similar, aggressive front end and sporty body that’s been lengthened to make packing the rear a lot easier.
It’s highly unlikely that the wagon will come with different powertrain options than the sedan counterpart, which means Europeans will be able to choose from a 2.0-liter with 148-hp and a 2.5-liter with 189-hp. The new 6 wagon is also likely to receive a new 2.2-liter, twin-turbo diesel powerplant that comes with either 150-hp or 175-hp and over 300 lb-ft of torque.
