2014 Hyundai Genesis Concept Teased One More Time

Looking to milk every last ounce of PR potential out of its latest concept car, Hyundai has released yet another teaser image of what it’s calling the HCD-14 Concept.

In about a year’s time, we’ll know it better as the 2014 Genesis luxury sedan, a model that, based on the teasers provided, will deliver a bold new design direction for the brand. The car itself, has a swoopy coupe-styled sedan shape, similar to that of the Mercedes CLS or Audi A7.

Hyundai says the HCD-14 Concept, “offers a glimpse into future Hyundai premium vehicle design, advanced 3-D gesture-based technology controls, and spirited driving dynamics.”

While nothing is known about the powertrain, Hyundai is rumored to be working on a turbocharged V6 engine, while we do know the 2014 Genesis will receive all-wheel drive for the first time. In addition, the Korean auto giant is currently developing a 10-speed automatic transmission, though its unlikely to make it into the Genesis for a few more years.

Set to be revealed a the North American International Auto Show next Monday, see our complete Detroit Auto Show coverage here.
