Lincoln MKC Crossover Concept Debuts at 2013 Detroit Auto Show

Lincoln debuted the latest MKC Crossover Concept at Detroit this morning, showing off the company’s plans for a Ford Escape based crossover.

Like the rest of new-look Lincoln Motor Company, the MKC has ditched the based-on-Ford looks of the past, with the crossover’s massive grille making the vehicle’s presence known.

Around back you’ll find the new staple of Lincoln Motor Company, the light-bar-like taillights that were first seen on the MKZ.  Similar to the MKZ, the MKC features a massive panoramic sunroof that runs the length of the vehicle. The MKC stylishly rides on 20-inch rims.

Inside, you’ll find a far more luxurious interior than the Ford Escape, and the company’s MyLincoln Touch infotainment system. There’s no gear-stick in the MKC, with the concept using a push-button transmission instead of the traditional hardware.

The MKC Concept is aimed squarely at the luxury CUVs like the Mercedes-Benz GLK, Infiniti EX37, Acura RDX and BMW X3. The Lincoln does have quite a leg up on the competition in terms of style, with a Range Rover Evoque-like profile.
