Mugen Honda CR-V Combines Off-Road Style With On-Road Performance: 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon
Known for building some of the world’s best performance Hondas and a long history in motorsports, the tuning geniuses at Mugen have tried their hand at the new CR-V, delivering some interesting results.
Showcasing an odd mesh of low-profile styling with off-road flares and bumper guards, it’s hard to miss the big foglights and LED light bars on the front lip, while out back is a stylish raised rear spoiler.

The CR-V doesn’t get any performance upgrades apart from a dual-exhaust system. Handling upgrades come via a sports suspension, as well as big 20-inch wheels and wider tires, housing powerful 4-piston brakes.
Inside, the cabin receives a suite of upgrades as well, including a carbon fiber dashboard and a carbon-style leather for the trim.
Technically a concept, it’s not yet clear if Mugen intends to offer its CR-V accessories individually, as a package, or at all.
