2014 Jaguar XJR Unveiled: 2013 New York Auto Show
A sportier Jaguar limo has hit the New York Auto Show Floor, looking as dynamic and bad-ass as Jaguar intended.
Using a supercharged 5.0-liter V8, the new Jaguar XJR hits 60 mph in 4.4 seconds, thanks in part to its lightweight all-aluminum architecture. That also helps with fuel efficiency, which is expected to be 15 mpg in the city, 23 mpg on the highway leading to a combined 18.
This Jag also receives an improved suspension setup, with a focus on both road and track performance. There are also new 20-inch wheels wrapped with special Pirelli tires.
Selectable driving modes also adjust the suspension with a stiff “Dynamic” mode and a stability control system setting called “Trac DSC” that allows the XJR to reach its limits.
The inside of the XJR is also updated with new R badges and stitching found throughout the cabin.
