33 Millionth Ford F-Series Sold in Plano, Texas
The Ford F-Series pickup truck is one of the most successful vehicles of all time, having sold its 33-millionth unit to a long-time Ford customer in Plano, Texas.
To add to the milestone sale, last month saw a 31-percent increase in Ford truck sales, marking the strongest May demand for Ford trucks in seven years. A total of 71,604 Ford F-Series trucks were sold last month.

The owner of the 33-millionth F-Series is Sam Loria, who purchased his first F-Series in 1969 and his newest F-150 Platinum is the 12th Ford he’s owned.
The F-Series is now in its 65th year of production and the 2013 Ford F-150 is also an IIHS Top Safety Pick and was recently named the “Best Light-Duty Pickup Truck” by Popular Mechanics magazine.
The F-Series has been the best-selling truck in America for 36 consecutive years and has sold 299,477 units so far in 2013.
