The company will still offer both GSR and MR versions of the car. Several changes differentiate the MR, which costs $38,990, but the most important is the different transmission. The GSR uses a five-speed manual while the MR takes advantage of a six-speed dual-clutch transmission for much faster shifting and improved performance.
Well liked, but aging, the car uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four cylinder engine that offers 291 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque through Mitsubishi’s “Super All-Wheel Control” system
Other options include a leather and sunroof package that offer leather upholstery on the car’s front Recaro racing seats for $1,800 and a “sight and sound” package that upgrades the stereo and headlights for $2,000 — both for the GSR.
The MR can be upgraded with the “touring” package for $2,150, which also adds automatic headlights, rain sensing wipers and an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a power sunroof and leather Recaro seats. Finally, there is also the $1,900 “premium” package for the MR, which also offers the leather seats and an upgraded stereo.
Either model an also be ordered with “phantom” black paint for an extra $250.
