2014 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet Spied Uncovered
Sharing almost all of its specifications with the 911 Turbo coupe, Porsche’s open-air turbocharged sports car was spied testing today on the Nurburgring.
It boasts the same 520 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque as the new 911 Turbo coupe and will be offered with a dual-clutch automatic transmission. The car also benefits from an overboost function that can temporarily add 37 lb-ft of torque for 10 seconds.
Porsche also adds active rear steering, which was a feature introduced on the 2014 911 GT3 first seen in Geneva.
The car shares all of its technical specifications with its hard top sibling aside from a presumably greater curb weight from added gear associated with the soft top.
