Nissan Juke NISMO Off to a Strong Start With 3,700 Units Sold

Nissan has announced that sales of the Juke NISMO has topped 3,700 units in Europe, Japan, and the U.S.

The Juke NISMO was the first global model for the brand’s sporty lineup of cars, and the 3,700 units of sales is not too shabby between the vehicle’s launch in January to the end of July.

Though the Japanese automaker didn’t announce an actual sales figure, the Z NISMO model now accounts for 15 to 30 percent of Nissan Z sales depending on the market. The Z NISMO was recently introduced in Europe, after seeing success in Japan and the U.S.

The brand is pleased with the initial reception to its NISMO sub-brand’s lineup and is looking forward to future models, most noticeably the GT-R NISMO. Development of the GT-R NISMO is on track in Japan and the vehicle is expected to go on sale next year.

“The Nissan GT-R NISMO is the GT-R with which we pursue pure performance,” says Hiroshi Tamura, Nissan GT-R and NISMO Chief Product Specialist. “It is for people who search for true performance with pure motorsports flavor. Its development is on schedule, and I can’t wait to see the model introduced into the markets.”
