Raising the bar for compact performance once again, Volkswagen has unveiled its hottest hatch yet: the 2015 Golf R.

Revealed today at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, the new Golf R rides atop a significantly lighter platform, while upping power to the big 300 mark.
