Lamborghini Cabrera to Have 600-HP, Seven-Speed DCT
The successor to the highly successful Lamborghini Gallardo will be revealed early next year and the first details of the car, reportedly named the Cabrera, are starting to surface.
The exotic sports car will be powered by a 5.2-liter, V10 engine that currently powers the Gallardo LP 570-4 but will be modified to have an output of around 600 horsepower. The engine will be mated to a seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission, replacing the single-clutch e-gear automated manual. As a result, the Gallardo will deliver much improved daily driveability.

The Cabrera is expected to share its platform with the 2015 Audi R8 which means expect plenty of aluminum and carbon fiber to help lighten the load. It is believed the two-wheel-drive variants will weight as little as 2,865 pounds.
Naturally, a convertible is expected to join the lineup a year later.
