Tesla Self-Driving Car Promised Within Three Years
Electric car company Tesla has revealed that it is working on a semi-autonomous vehicle that company CEO Elon Musk says will be ready within three years.
Musk says that the car will be 90 percent autonomous, and will be developed solely by Tesla with in-house technology. Fully autonomous cars would take longer to develop according to Musk.
While Tesla claims that it can have a semi-autonomous vehicle up and running within three years, other large automakers such as Nissan and Daimler have committed to having the technology out by the end of the decade.

Then again, the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class that can partially drive itself. In the case of the S-Class, the car will pilot itself fully when stuck in stop-and-go traffic thanks to a feature called traffic jam assistance. Musk didn’t specify how much a “90 percent” autonomous car would be able to do.
