2014 Toyota Prius Plug-In Gets $2,010 Price Cut

Toyota is cutting the price of its Prius Plug-In Hybrid model down to a starting MSRP of $29,990, a total price cut of $2,010 from the 2013 base model. 

Just like GM’s Volt and Nissan’s Leaf, slow sales of electric vehicles have spurred price cuts in an attempt to help stimulate the market, and now Toyota has followed suit. The brand also cut $4,620 off of the MSRP of a Prius Plug-In Advanced, bringing it down to $34,905.

Plug-In models are equipped similarly to middle of the road Prius Three, though customers who opt for the plug will also get heated front seats, longer all EV driving time, unique 10-spoke alloy wheels and remote climate that lets customers operate the A/C from outside the vehicle.

Bump up to the Prius Advanced model and features like the Entune infotainment system, fake leather seats, 8-way power adjustable driver seat and head-up display are fitted.

2014 Prius Plug-In models will arrive in dealerships starting in November.
