2015 Audi A3 Sedan Pricing Announced, Starts Right Around 30 Grand
Audi just announced pricing for its all-new 2015 A3 sedan. The company had hinted that this compact four-door would start right around 30 grand and they nailed that price point.
The car will sticker for $29,990, which is identical – as in EXACTLY THE SAME – as the equally brand-new Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class compact sedan. For that price Audi drivers get a panoramic glass sunroof, leather seating surfaces and bi-xenon headlamps (that’s “bi” as in “two” not “bisexual”). Keep in mind this price does not include destination and delivery fees, which are an additional $895.
The car’s base engine is a 1.8-liter turbocharged gasoline four-cylinder serving up 170 horsepower. Three 2.0-liter force-fed bangers are also available. Two run on gasoline and another on diesel. The oil-burner ought to put out about 150 ponies while the hopped-up unit in the S3 is expected to crank out around 300 horsepower. Output numbers for the mainstream 2.0-liter TFSI gasoline engine have not been shared at this time. A six-speed “s-tronic” automatic transmission handles gear-changing duties.

Like other Audis quattro all-wheel drive is available for an extra fee, as are all kinds of other high-end options.
The sedan should make its North American debut in the first quarter of next year. It will be joined by a cabriolet model later in 2014 and then by the high-performance S3 sometime in 2015. Along with the CLA things are getting a lot more interesting the compact luxury segment.
