Toyota ‘TRD Pro’ Confirmed for Chicago Debut

At next week’s Chicago Auto Show, Toyota will roll out something called “TRD Pro,” which looks to be an off-road specific package for the Tundra. 

A short TRD Pro teaser commercial showing a Tundra that appears slightly lifted with a unique grille, black wheels, a modified-sounding exhaust and a TRD Pro badge on the tailgate is all the company has released so far. Exactly how modified the truck will be is unknown, but it looks like it could be a competitor to Ford’s SVT Raptor, with the likely upgrades coming to the shocks, wheels and exhaust.

A Toyota representative confirmed that “TRD Pro” will be revealed at the Chicago show next week, but refused to elaborate.

It may be Tundra specific, but it could also be a new equipment line that could find its way into other Toyota products.
