2015 Honda Civic Type R Concept Leaked

The Honda Type R badge has a long history, one which the Japanese brand is resurrecting at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show with the Civic Type R Concept.

This will be the first European model to receive Honda’s all-new VTEC Turbo engines from the brand’s Earth Dreams Technology range. Power comes from a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, that is expected to make at least 280 hp with eco-friendly emissions.

Honda has already claimed that this car will crack the current record for the fastest lap around the Nürburgring by a front-wheel drive car, which currently sits at 8:07.97 held by the Renault Megane 265 Trophy.   

Currently, Honda has no plans to bring this car to North America.
