2015 Nissan 370Z Nismo Gets Wild New Look

Nissan is breathing life back into the 370Z with a new Nismo performance version, which was revealed today at the annual ZDAYZ gathering.

The car’s biggest upgrades come in the form of appearance, as this 370Z Nismo is powered the same engine as the previous car, a 3.7-liter V6 that makes 350 hp and 276 lb-ft of torque. Either a six-speed manual with rev-match technology or a seven-speed automatic can be paired to the V6.

A new deep front fascia sits on the front of the car wearing new LED light accents along with black headlight bezels. Nismo badges and a red strip are also found on the front of the car to enhance looks, while redesigned side sills and a refreshed rear end complete to the look. Nissan says all of the body modifications come together to make this car more aerodynamic than before.

The 19-inch forged aluminum wheels have also been redesigned for this new Nismo car.

On the inside, leather Recaro racing seats finished with Alcantara accents are fitted along with red trim, Nismo logos, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a Nismo red tachometer. New technology is available inside the car as well with the new Tech model which comes equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen, a Bose audio setup, satellite radio, Bluetooth, a rearview camera, and navigation.

What really counts here however is performance, and the Nismo car gets a number of enhancements to help it lap a race track faster. They include a new strut tower brace for better body rigidity, performance dampers, new springs and stabilizer bars, larger brakes, and a Viscous limited-slip differential.

Expect the car to start arriving in dealers this July.
