2015 Ford Focus ST Diesel Coming to Goodwood

The updated 2015 Ford Focus ST will debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed later this week sporting a new diesel powertrain.

According to Just-Auto, the new oil-burning Focus ST will make its appearance at the festival when Ford takes the wraps off of the 2015 Focus ST. Put together to compete with Volkswagen GTD, the ST is likely to use a 2.0-liter TDCi engine with 182 hp, letting it accelerate to 62 mph in around eight seconds.

The company released the photo seen above and the video embedded below to tease the car, before its official unveiling this Friday, the 27th of June.

Not just a new engine is coming to the 2015 car though, Ford says that the same technology and quality improvements are coming to ST as those fit to other members of the Focus family that have already been refreshed.

North American availability is unknown, but small diesel-powered performance cars rarely make it to our shores.
