2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Mule Spied Testing
Mercedes-Benz is already testing its next-generation E-Class sedan.
AutoGuide.com‘s spy photographers caught what was first believed to be a possible C-Class AMG Black Series being tested, but they discerned that it is actually a mule for the 2016 E-Class sedan. The new E-Class will be based on the German automaker’s MRA modular platform that debuted with the all-new C-Class this year, making it easier for the development team to use a C-Class body as a mule.

As for the mule itself, it’s actually wider and longer than the production C-Class, giving us a good idea of what to expect when it comes to the dimensions of the 2016 E-Class. Expect the next E-Class to shed some weight thanks to the new platform and as with the E-Class tradition, the sedan will debut first, followed by the coupe and convertible models.
