2018 Jeep Wrangler Going on a Diet
Like many other automakers, Jeep will be focusing on fuel economy for its next-generation Wrangler.
Expect the redesigned 2018 Jeep Wrangler to go on a diet in order to help improve fuel economy across the American automaker’s fleet. According to Jeep CEO Mike Manley, the company will focus on innovations in the powertrain department to ensure the vehicle survives into the future.

Currently the 2014 Jeep Wrangler four-wheel drive model equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 returns 17 mpg in the city and 21 mpg on the highway. In addition, the new Wrangler will be built on its platform and architecture. Ultimately, the company wants to develop a lighter Wrangler with better fuel economy without compromising its capabilities.
