Cadillac Escalade Vsport to Put Sport Back in SUV
The Cadillac Escalade could be next on the list to get a Vsport variant.
According to a recent report by Automotive News, Cadillac’s model line’s brand manager David Schiavone confirmed that the American automaker is mulling over a sporty variant for its new Escalade SUV. Under consideration to power the Escalade Vsport are a turbo-diesel V6 engine and a twin-turbo gasoline V6 powerplant. The new powerplants would be in addition to the current 6.2-liter V8 that headlines the Escalade lineup.

Not only would expanding the Escalade range attract new customers, it would help the SUV compete with the Lincoln Navigator, which is available with a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine. The new powerplants would also help the American automaker meet upcoming U.S. emissions requirements.
