Mazda MX-5 Coupe Likely to Arrive in 2017
An all-new Mazda MX-5 will be revealed in just a few short days, and it looks like a coupe model is in the works.
According to Automotive News, the new Miata will offer a hardtop version roughly one year after it launches, complete with fastback styling. That means we should see the car sometime in 2017.

The car is expected to weigh about the same as the original Miata, tipping the scales at 2,100 pounds. Under the hood, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine will be fitted, connected to a six-speed manual transmission. Mazda also says the new Miata will be stiffer and slightly smaller than the previous car.
