Porsche Cayman GTS Conquers Go-Kart Track

You probably hear about cars with “go-kart-like” handling pretty frequently and Porsche is out to prove its Cayman GTS fits the bill.

A new video from the German automaker shows off the Cayman GTS and its handling capabilities as the new sports car rips it up on a go-kart track in northern Italy. The 2015 Porsche Cayman GTS will feature a 3.4-liter six-cylinder boxer engine with 340 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque and will be offered with either a six-speed manual transmission or the company’s seven-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Standard on the new Porsche Cayman GTS will be the automaker’s Sport Chrono package. According to Porsche, the Cayman GTS with the PDK will accelerate to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds, but there’s more to the car than straight line acceleration.
