2015 Jeep Cherokee V6 Gets Improved Mileage

 The 2015 Jeep Cherokee V6 is getting a boost in fuel economy by stopping its engine at red lights.

The EPA has released the official figures for the 2015 Jeep Cherokee V6 and with front-wheel drive, the SUV will return 21 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on the highway for a 24-MPG combined rating. It’s a worthwhile increase compared to the 2014 Jeep Cherokee’s 19-MPG city, 28-MPG highway and 22-mpg combined ratings.

All-wheel drive models also benefit with a modest increase from 19 MPG in the city and 27 MPG on the highway (22-MPG combined) to 20 MPG in the city and 28 MPG on the highway (23-MPG combined). The American automaker had previously estimated that stop-start technology would improve fuel economy and reduce CO2 by up to three percent.
