BMW M6 GT3 Teased as Z4 Replacement
BMW has teased its next GT3 race car set to compete in 2016.
The new BMW M6 GT3 will replace the aging Z4 GT3, which will be retired at the end of the 2015 race season. According to the German automaker, development on the new track car is already underway and BMW Motorsport is planning to begin preliminary testing early next year. Powering the M6 GT3 will be the same 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 found in the production model but expect plenty more performance as a race application.
