Ford Focus RS to be Imported From Europe
Ford engineers are cooking up a new ultra-high-performance Focus RS. The car is baking in the product-development oven right now and it should be set to go on sale as soon as the timer goes off in 2016.
This hotly anticipated vehicle ought to provide rally-inspired performance thanks to all-wheel drive and brisk acceleration courtesy of a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine. It promises to be a nice step up from the ST model.

But if you live in North America it might be tough to procure one of these hot hatches when they go on sale. It turns out the Focus RS will be imported from Europe.
For consumption on this side of the Atlantic, standard versions of the car are built in Michigan but apparently the RS variant won’t fit down the assembly line. More than likely this translates into a limited allotment of cars for the American market.
