Hyundai Considering New Compact Sports Car
Hyundai is looking to add a new sports car to its lineup.
In an interview with Autocar, Hyundai’s departing COO Allan Rushforth revealed that the Korean automaker has discussed a new sports car model and is looking forward to bringing one to market. Currently, Hyundai’s sportiest compact car is the Veloster, but the addition of the N performance division open the doors to new opportunities when it comes to sports cars.

Inspiration for the new sports car could come from the PassoCorto concept that debuted earlier this year at the Geneva Motor Show. The PassoCorto concept was designed by the students at IED design school in Turin and sports a 1.6-liter twin-turbo engine with over 260 hp.
