Subaru Says ‘Aye’ to EyeSight in the Crosstrek Family
Attention Subaru fans, the company’s XV Crosstrek and Crosstrek Hybrid models are getting some new technology.
Regrettably none of this stuff is terribly groundbreaking, but still, it’s nice to see the firm spreading some of its advanced features across their lineup. For 2015 the Crosstrek family gains the company’s EyeSight driver-assistance system. This technology was developed in-house and incorporates things like adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning and pre-collision braking.

Beyond this, when equipped with EyeSight these vehicles also gain steering-responsive fog lights. In addition to this the Crosstrek lineup also gets a new infotainment system with a 6.2-inch display. It’s standard on 2.0i, 2,0i Premium and Hybrid models and even comes with a backup camera. Higher-end versions get a 7-inch screen that’s multi-touch capable.
