Trion Nemesis to Reach Production in 2016

Get ready for an American 2,000-hp supercar heading for production in 2016.

The Trion Nemesis packing a 9.0-liter twin-turbo V8 is scheduled to be built in January 2016 as it looks to best some of Europe’s quickest supercars including the Bugatti Veyron and Koenigsegg One:1 according to a report from Autocar . With a reported top speed of over 270 MPH and being able to accelerate to 62 MPH from a standstill in 2.8 seconds, the Trion Nemesis looks to put America on the map in terms of supercars.

The Nemesis will be built on a carbon fiber monocoque chassis with a pushrod-based suspension system. Expect plenty of its body panels to be constructed from lightweight carbon fiber as well. Standard on the Trion Nemesis will be four-wheel drive and an eight-speed transmission. Helping the 2,000-hp supercar come to a stop from its mind-numbing acceleration are carbon-ceramic disc brakes, six-piston calipers in the front and four-piston calipers in the rear.

The first prototype models will be built by California-based coachbuilder N2A motors in February 2015 and the Nemesis is expected to be limited to just 50 units. Each vehicle will cost roughly $1 million.
