2016 Mazda CX-3 Video, First Look

Mazda is jumping into the subcompact crossover market with the new 2016 CX-3, revealed at the 2014 LA Auto Show.

The CX-3 is based on the same platform as the small Mazda2 subcompact, though it is equipped with the 2.0-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine found in the larger Mazda3. Power numbers haven’t been released yet, but in the 3 this motor makes 155 hp.

All-wheel drive will also be an option on the new CX-3, which is the fifth model in the Japanese automaker’s lineup to benefit from its Skyactiv suite of fuel-saving features.
