Ringbrothers Chevelle Pumps 980 HP Into SEMA
1
Ringbrothers brought something especially cool to the SEMA Show this year: a 1966 Chevelle with 980 hp.
The Wisconsin-based tuner used a Chevrolet LS7 and gave it a serous boost with a series of modifications including Whipple supercharger, Holley fuel injection system, a custom Tremec transmission and more.
Although the project is based on a ’66 Chevelle, it rides on a custom chassis and uses an independent front suspension lifted from the C5 Corvette. It also uses six-piston brake calipers on the front and rear squeezing 14-inch rotors.
Last year Ringbrothers brought a customized De Tomaso Pantera boasting 600 hp from a Chevrolet LS3 V8.
