2017 Audi A6 to Use Prologue Concept Styling
The Audi Prologue doesn’t just preview a possible flagship coupe, its styling will be used on future Audi models.
The German automaker’s chief designer, Marc Lichte, has confirmed that the next-generation A6 will feature styling cues from the recent concept that debuted at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. Expected to be available as a 2017 model year, the new A6 will differentiate itself from current Audi models such as the A3 and A4 as Audi looks to make its models more diverse in the design category.

Expect the 2017 Audi A6 to be built on the company’s MLB platform that will also underpin the 2016 Audi Q7, the A8’s replacement and the new Volkswagen Phaeton. Thanks to the new platform, the new A6 is expected to drop a serious amount of weight. The car will likely debut at a major auto show in late 2016 or early 2017.
