LaFerrari XX to Debut in Abu Dhabi This Week
Ferrari’s ferocious track-only V12 hybrid hypercar will debut this week in Abu Dhabi.
The debut will take place during the Finali Mondiali 2014, which will be held outside of Europe for the first time in its history this year, 4WheelsNews reports. According to the site, Ferrari plans to show the especially exclusive model to select customers behind closed doors.
A Ferrari representative was not available at the time of writing to comment on the rumor, but it jibes with previous reports that said the car would debut in December.
Official information about the LaFerrari XX is still scarce, but it is expected to make 1,050 hp, which would make it more powerful than the street legal LaFerrari along with the track-only McLaren P1 GTR that debuted last August at Pebble Beach.
The LaFerrari is already a stripper as cars that start at $1.4 million go with seats fixed to the carbon fiber tub and an adjustable pedal box to account for drivers of varying stature. Despite that, the Ferrari will almost certainly find other items to do away with to make the car even lighter. It is expected to carry a price of roughly $3.1 million with about 30 copies available on Maranello’s order book.
