2016 Chevy Volt Revealed at Consumer Electronics Show
The second-generation Chevrolet Volt has broken cover ahead of its official reveal at the Detroit Auto Show later this month.
The next-gen model was revealed at a private function in Las Vegas on the eve of the Consumer Electronics Show.
But after a quick tease, GM quickly put the car back under wraps and is refusing to reveal any more details until the North American International Auto Show, which kicks off on January 12.

What is known about the car so far is that it will make use of a 1.5-liter 4-cyliner engine mated to a new Voltec extended range electric vehicle (EREV) propulsion system.
Chevy says the new engine should be 5 to 12 percent more efficient than the current car. Combined with a reduced curb weight, look for a noticeable improvement in fuel economy and an increase in electric range.
